Campvention 2007 - Colorado Is the Place to Be With Regions 1 and 3

Pueblo, Colorado - July 5 through 11

Come and enjoy the fun that Regions #1 and #3 are planning for the 2007 Campvention at the Colorado State Fairgrounds in Pueblo. Join us for “Mountains of Heaven” in 2007.

Pueblo is east of the Rocky Mountains. The mountains are visible, but you do not have to drive over them to arrive in Pueblo if you come from the east.

There is much sightseeing you can do in the area. Take some of our tours or drive yourself to see: the Air Force Academy, the Royal Gorge, Garden of the Gods, and much, much, more. Early bird parking is available, so you can park your campers on grounds and travel the area.

This year Campvention will begin on Thursday which will have most regular scheduled events occurring one day earlier---for example: the teen queen pageant will be held on Monday, and the parade will be on Wednesday. Some new and different activities are being planned for Campvention. There will be four on-grounds parades. Check in upcoming issues of “Camping Today” for more details on these special projects.

The daytime temperatures will be warm, but there is very little humidity. The evenings cool down and are very comfortable. All the buildings will be cooled with air conditioners or swamp coolers.

You might check with your state director or someone from your state to see if they have a copy of the CD presented in Blyth to give more information about Campvention 2007.

Plan now to vacation in Colorado next summer since there will be so much to see and do. We hope to see you there!
