Federation International Camping and Caravanning (FICC)

FCRV is a member organization of FICC.

FICC History

The Conference of Camping Clubs held in the Netherlands in May 1932 was attended by 11 associations from Belgium, France, Great Britain, Italy and Netherlands and resulted in FICC being established in Great Britain in 1933.

FICC Tasks and Objectives

FICC is a non-profit organization which seeks to promote, coordinate and improve cooperation between camping and caravanning groups at national and international levels. It protects the legitimate interests of its members vis-a-vis national and international organizations.
FICC organizes seminars, conferences, etc. to promote camping and publishes reports and information documents on camping related subjects. It ensures that the appropriate public bodies are aware of potential problem areas and that campers realize the importance of protecting nature and the environment.
FICC examines problems relating to camping and caravanning and is involved in research into products and services used in camping and caravanning.
FICC is not involved in any political, philosophical, religious or social issues.

FICC Activities

FICC promotes the development and harmonious practice of camping and caravanning throughout the world.
It encourages the creation of camping and caravanning organizations.
It provides members and associates with an International Camping Card (CCI).
FICC members organize a variety of events and activities including at least one international rally each year.
It can advise on ways of improving campsites.

FICC Administration

FICC's registered office is in Brussels, Belgium.
The FICC Council may decide to set up regional subdivisions or branches worldwide.

FICC Composition

FICC comprises members and associates.
Members are camping and/or caravanning clubs and federations whose status meet the requirements of membership.
Associates are clubs, federations and associations whose activities include camping and/or caravanning but do not wish or qualify to be a member.

FICC Today

58 member clubs and federations representing around 2.5 million campers in 34 countries all over the world.
Member countries are: Austria (2 clubs), Belgium (2), Brazil (1), Bulgaria (1), Canada (1), Croatia (1), Czech Republic (1), Denmark (4), Germany (1), Finland (3), France (1), Great Britain (4), Greece (1), Hungary (1), Ireland (1), Israel (1), Italy (2), Japan (1), Lebanon (1), Luxembourg (2), Malta (1), Netherlands (4), Norway (4), Poland (2), Portugal (1), San Marino (1), Slovak Republic (2), South Korea (1), Spain (3), Sweden (1), Switzerland (2), Taiwan (2), Turkey (1) and USA (1).
